Thursday Quicknotes

~Can we all just come to the reasonable conclusion that Mike Vick had a significant hand in the dog fighting ring. Friends are apparently saying that he did know about the dog fighting. How could you own a piece of property that's been breading 70 pit bulls without having the slightest idea of what is going on. You're not that dumb Ron Mexico.
~Do not live in Tennessee, I repeat do not live in Tennessee. It's a dixie state so I crossed it off the list long ago, but I'm sure Air McNair is very not pleased with receiving a DUI by being in the passenger seat and letting his brother-in-law drive him home from the bar. That blows.

~So I hate NASCAR, I think it's the most boring television you could ever watch, but occasionally I find NASCAR humorous, like today for instance when Dale Earnhardt Jr. is leaving Dale Earnhardt Incorporated leaving DEI with zero Dale Earnhardt's in the fold. Perhaps its just me but I think the mother needs to get a life, her son is the only one that can carry on his father's legacy, he deserves the majority ownership of the company, not you not anybody else, you just made a mockery of yourself and your late husband. It's pathetic, but it is very funny and amusing.

~The whole Derek Fisher deal last night where he came back from his daughter's surgery and just went in the game right away in the 3rd quarter without warming up at all was cool.

~Federer is scuffling approaching the French, he was just bounced by a no name in straight sets on clay. Might as well chalk another one down for Nadal in Paris.

~Why would a baseball team ever offer giving away a rectal exam for two tickets like the Brewers are doing (or did) I just don't get that.

The best part -

It's not Dale Jr.'s mother. It's Dale Sr.'s THIRD wife. So you can imagine how pissed off Jr. is.

The lesson as always: pre-nups and be very clear in your will.

No Shit, shows how much I know about NASCAR. Wow that makes it even more scummy, why in the world should she have the majority stake in the race car company. It would be apropos.

Lou Holtz is the Homer / Annoyingly Delusional

As my buddy Joe and I always joke, if Notre Dame was suiting up against an all Jesus team, aka a team made up of 55 Sons of God, Lou Holtz would probably still pick Notre Dame to win by a touchdown. So of course this weekend when I'm watching Sportscenter and they have him and fellow old man Corso making predictions, Lou picks ND to beat Michigan. Not that big of a deal, Michigan is a big question mark this year, but of course than Lou says that Notre Dame will win 11 games this year. This is the same Notre Dame that lost to a service academy last year. And just when you thought the douchy homerism was going to end ESPN asks which BCS school is going to be the biggest surprise team in the country. Any guesses to whom it was? I'll give you a clue it was another team he coached. If you guessed South Carolina you would be a winner. Next up on Lou's prediction watch, the Jets win the Superbowl, NC St. wins the ACC, Arkansas dominates the SEC West, Minnesota wins the Big

Ranking the New York Jets Historical Helmets

There's no way you can't go with the Helmet they won the Super Bowl in. You just can't. Next, I really don't understand why they don't where the helmet with the Jet as their throwback uniforms. That helmet is awesome. Then I'm going with the Helmets from the 80s because it's the classic feel and the white face mask is 10 times better than the black one. And the rankings continue until you get to... The Titans Helmet. I hate everything about those Titan uniforms. The Helmets are boring and the colors are GOD awful. Navy blue and Mustard? What the hell is that. Disgusting. If they wore those unis when I was a kid I'd probably be a Giant fan, and be much happier with my life in football.
